Berichten uit Bagdad:
The weather is so bad that we can't even focus. Baghdad is covered with dust and smoke. The orange color and dusty atmosphere make us feel like it is the end of the world. I used to do without escorts, but since the war started it is mandatory to have an escort and let me say it is useful. An escort girl is more than welcome!
Patrick Baz, die ondanks alles zijn gevoel voor humor heeft behouden. In 2000 schoot een Israëlische militair hem opzettelijk in de vingers toen hij verslag deed van rellen in Ramallah op de West-Oever.
On the second night of the bombing, the heaviest so far, there were instances where ministry agents went door-to-door looking for photographers, confiscating disks and cameras. A couple of photographers got their cameras smashed, and one got his camera thrown out from the roof of the hotel. All the photogs that got their equipment confiscated got it back the next day.
